Different Skin Types and Special Tips for Their Care!
Despite the similarity in looks, we have different skins. Some of us have oily skin while some have the exact opposite - dry skin.
There are 5 known types of skins:
- Normal Skin
- Dry Skin
- Oily Skin
- Combination Skin
- Sensitive Skin
Normal Skin:
I personally admire this type of skin. Normal skin’s characteristics are smooth texture and softness. Water and lipid are also fairly balanced. Good as this skin is, it requires regular cleansing and moisturizing.
If you posses this type of skin, maintain it by cleaning with rose water every morning. You can also use natural soap with the properties of rosewater. Now, moisturize your cream that uses organic ingredients.
Normal skin is also prone to blackheads. To make sure they don’t attack, wash the face with natural handmade soap and then apply natural oil-based cream. Massage the face and wipe it with a soft napkin after 10-15 minutes.
Dry Skin:
This is a wonderful skin to have, but in the summers. Dry-skinned people face sensitivity issues in the winter. Synthetic creams should usually be avoided.
The best thing to do with a dry skin is to apply coconut oil and cocoa and Shea butter over the body after morning shower. It is also advised to use mineral water for cleansing the face instead of tap water. Use mildest soap and try not to scrub your face. The winter may temp you to scratch over the itchy areas but do not fall for it. Use natural oils like coconut oil over itchy areas.
Oily Skin:
This skin is a blessing in the winters; not so much in summers. Oily skins tend to produce too much oil. And this is why more cleansing is required every day. Wash the face 3-4 times each day. Clean the face and the body with luxury handmade soap.
Mask of clay, papaya or yogurt can keep the face clear and glowing. Be sure to wash the face after 25 minutes.
Combination Skin:
This is the most perplexing type of skin. The combination skin may have oily parts, normal and even dry parts. Forehead and nose are oily while cheeks might be completely dry.

Sensitive Skin:
If you have this skin type, consume fatty acids as much as possible. Also use yogurt and lacto-fermented veggies and fruits. This skin, if left unchecked can especially create problems for women who tend to develop dry and irritating skin.
To fight this irritation and pain, use dry skin tips.
