What Is Exfoliation and Things to Look For In an Exfoliating Product?
Everybody seems to be talking about exfoliation in beauty and health care these days. Everywhere you go, the parties, the health care meetings, even the internet forums are full of the word “exfoliation”. But what is exfoliation? And should we really look forward to it? Let us find out.
What is Exfoliation?
Exfoliation is the shedding of the upper and dead layers of our skin. We do exfoliation intentionally so old cells are buffed away and we get a layer of new, lively skin.
Is it a Good Idea?
This idea is not just good - It is one of the best to improve skin\'s smoothness and to tone & reduce the appearance of fine lines.
It’s not a bad idea to manage acne and ingrown hairs, or any other problem that arising from excess of dead cells through exfoliation either. In fact, by scrubbing the outer layer of dead cells, our facial hairs are forced upright and the skin is better prepped for a smoother hair without shaving ingrown hairs.
What should I look out for in an exfoliating soap?
There are a few choices for exfoliation available to us. For example, we have an option to use products with natural ingredients like glycol. Another option is to use products combining physical agent with natural exfoliators. The idea is to buff away dirt over the skin without causing redness, itch and irritation.
Another product you can look is Loofah soap. These soaps can exfoliate the dead skin, clear away stubborn dirt, and make the skin glow once again. Loofah soap is natural and it does not cause itching and irritation. With dead skin now gone, new skin starts taking over and we can once again feel revitalized.
